1. Introduction

The School of Materials Science and Engineering was established by the Council of Hanoi University of Science and Technology based on the merger of several units, including the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering, the Institute of Textile, Leather and Fashion, the International Training Institute for Materials Science (ITIMS), the Polymer-Composites Materials Research Center, and the Printing Technology Faculty of the Institute of Chemical Engineering.

To meet the demand for high-quality human resources in the materials field, the School of Materials Science and Engineering comprises 4 faculties and 5 specialized areas, offering 6 training programs:
