- Introduction:
The Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, is a reputable unit for undergraduate and postgraduate research and education in Mathematics and Informatics. The predecessor of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at HUST was the Mathematics Group, established in 1956, with the mission of teaching mathematics to students across the university. It later became the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics (in 1968) and began offering specialized programs (then called Construction Mathematics Engineering) as proposed by Professors Tran Dai Nghia and Ta Quang Buu. Currently, the School has 6 specialized groups: Data Science and Applications, Mathematical Foundations for Informatics and Information Systems, Optimization and Scientific Computing, Probability Statistics and Applications, Analysis, Algebra.

- Introduction:
The School of Engineering Physics (SEP) was established on January 23, 1985, according to Decree No. 13/HĐBT of the Council of Ministers, now the Government, based on the three faculties of General Physics, Solid State Physics, and Nuclear Physics of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The School of Engineering Physics is the first institute within a university in the country to be established as a pilot model combining scientific research, education, and technology transfer to serve both the economy and national defense.
The predecessor of the School of Engineering Physics was the Faculty of Physics, one of the first faculties of the university, which contributed significantly to the university's educational, research, and development efforts. Currently, the School of Engineering Physics consists of 1 Office and 6 Faculties (General Physics, Theoretical Physics, Electronic Materials, Computational Physics, Optics and Optoelectronics, Nuclear Engineering and Environmental Physics).

- Introduction
In 1956, the Russian Language Group, the predecessor of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, was established. Today, the Faculty of Foreign Languages at HUST has 12 specialized groups offering courses in English, French, Japanese, and Chinese. The Faculty is responsible for two main areas of training: teaching foreign languages to engineering students and offering a Bachelor’s degree in English for Science, Technology, and Engineering.

The Faculty of Education was established in 1998 and is responsible for training and research in educational science and technology. It offers courses in educational sciences, including Psychology, Education, Pedagogy, and Educational Technology. Additionally, the Faculty conducts research on technical and vocational education, covering topics such as e-learning applications, the use of informatics in technical teaching, multimedia design for education, the development of experimental teaching tools, technical teaching methods, quality assurance and evaluation in education, and various assessment methods.

Established in 1956 as the Faculty of Politics, the Faculty of Political Theory is dedicated to providing political and ideological education across Hanoi University of Science and Technology during the nation’s new development phase. The faculty now comprises six specialized divisions: Philosophy, Political Economy, Scientific Socialism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, and the History of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
