FUNCTIONS - DUTIES

I. FUNCTIONS

To assist and advise the University President in the management, operation, and execution of communication and brand management for Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST); to build and develop learning resources, digital knowledge, Journal of Science and Technology, serving HUST’s training, scientific research, and administration, thereby maximizing the University's intellectual power of the University.

II. DUTIES

  1. Develop communication plans aligned with the University's brand development strategy to establish, guide, and monitor the implementation of the University's regulatory documents on communication activities.
  2. Build and effectively manage the University's official multimedia communication channels: website (hust.edu.vn), social media platforms, printed special issues, newsletters, etc.
  3. Organize and deploy strategic communication activities through events, communication products (documents, news, articles, images, videos, etc.), and the University's branded gift system.
  4. Manage and develop the HUST brand; to manage the University's information and image on mass media; to serve as the liaision for the University's relationships with press agencies; and to advise the University leadership on  handling communication crises.
  5. Consult, support, and supervise units within the University in developing plans and effectively implementing communication activities to ensure informational consistency, professionalism, and operational uniformity.
  6. Manage the communication content and format of events and communication activities out by external organizations within the University premises.
  7. Formulate strategies and development plans; to advise the University leadership on the direction of organizing and operating library and information services based on a digital information and knowledge management model.
  8. Develop, manage, and organize the exploitation of the University's knowledge resources: learning materials, books, scientific and technological documents/publications, dissertations, theses, digital scientific and technological resources, etc.
  9. Implement the creation and provision of library and information products and services that are scientific, modern, effective, and tailored to the needs of readers; to promote reading culture at HUST.
  10. Manage, build, and organize the implementation of the development plan for HUST’s Journal of Science and Technology; to deploy publishing and dissemination services to enhance the reputation and promotion.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by the University President.
